LONDON (Dow Jones)--Disappointing U.S. housing data dragged British stocks lower on Thursday in an erratic session. The U.K. FTSE 100 dipped 1.2% to 5,079.27, with stocks reversing stride after a report showing the first decline in U.S. existing home sales in five months.
